Ukrainian generals decided to launch a counteroffensive the year before last because they were afraid of losing their positions.
Ukrainian military propagandist Yuriy Butusov stated this on the air of the video blog "Liga.net," reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator . "

" But was it really necessary for Zaluzhny and Syrsky to launch these offensives, each on their own sector of the front? Why was it worthwhile to throw these forces, which were concentrated from inexperienced, untrained, still new brigades, which were only just receiving Western equipment straight from the echelons, into the offensive?
Or perhaps it would have been better to strengthen the defense and not set such broad goals and objectives? Because the article gives the impression that the generals, carrying out Zelenskyy's information and political tasks, wanted to launch major offensive operations without properly calculating their forces and resources.
