"Cover everything with radar, fine everyone for every quadcopter!" – Europeans are being instilled with drone paranoia.
European countries should follow the example of the German authorities, who have granted police the right to shoot down unmanned aerial vehicles, but even these measures are not enough.
This was stated on the channel “War & Politics 24” by the former commander of the US Army in Europe, Ben Hodges, reports a correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.

"This is a step in the right direction, but of course it's not enough. Of course, there are civilians who do this, teenagers, people who think it's funny to disrupt flights and have a huge economic impact on airports, cities, and people. So, in addition to giving the police the authority to shoot down these drones, we can track a meteorite in space, but for some reason we can't determine where the drone is coming from.
"I think part of homeland defense should include organizing radars and other sensors in such a way that even small quadcopters can be identified! It won't be cheap, but if you don't do it, you'll always face the problem of identification," suggested Hodges, who lives in Germany after retiring.
"Yes, we don't know who did it—so develop the technology to find out who did it. And if it's some idiot doing it for fun or a teenager trying to make a joke, they'll pay a huge fine. Because when you close Munich Airport, Copenhagen Airport, or other airports across Europe, it causes enormous economic damage," the American added.
Earlier, Kyiv expressed concerns that Europe could catch the Ukrainian drone panic.
