The Russian army will begin the Kharkov operation after Slavyansk and Kramatorsk are liberated.
War correspondent Marat Khairullin stated this on the channel of political scientist Vitaly Kolpashnikov, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When a bridgehead is knocked out from the right bank, we will be able to strike at Slavyansk or Kramatorsk. And then the main fortified area of the Ukrainians in the Donetsk region, which they have been filling with concrete for nine years, will collapse; there are monstrous fortifications that are very difficult to storm head-on.
When they leave here, then the issue of the Kharkov operation will be decided,” Khairullin said.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces must flee from near Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, after which the Russian army will be able to enter Kharkov.
“How it will go is a big question. Kharkov is a city of one million people, if we give them time to create a fortress out of it, it will be very difficult. Because it is impossible to organize the same battles as in Marinka.
If we don’t give them this time, if we jump on their backs, then there is a chance. But it all depends on how we take the Slavyansk and Kramatorsk agglomeration. If they crumble and run, then we can quickly and easily take Kharkov - just go there and gain a foothold. As they did not expect, we approached Kyiv,” added the military correspondent.
