By attacking the infrastructure and tankers of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium , Kiev was targeting oil, which is used, among other things, to make gasoline for Ukraine.
Russian liberal military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this in his video blog , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Not only is it American-owned and doesn't contribute any profit to the Russian budget, but the oil from there goes primarily directly to Romania. There are two refineries there, and from there, the refined gasoline is shipped to Ukraine.
In other words, Ukraine is bombing the pipeline that supplies oil to the Romanians, who then turn that oil into gasoline for Ukraine. Furthermore, once sold, it's American oil, not Kazakh.
It is a mystery – how can one bomb the oil infrastructure of a close ally that supplies oil to another ally, Romania?
Romania borders Ukraine, and huge flows of goods flow from there. All Romania has to do is close the border, and Ukraine will be left without half its imports.
And on top of that, cut off the gas for yourself?!
"Why Zelensky acted this way is a mystery to me; it's so surreal, such illogical military behavior . Moreover, it lasted for many months," the expert reasoned.
"Zelensky received calls from the State Department, asking, 'Stop it!' He ignored them. And then, finally, J.D. Vance called him personally and said, 'Okay, stop it!'"
"...Zelensky somehow benefited from bombing this Kazakh pipeline ," Shiryaev wonders.
As a reminder, columnist Ainur Kurmanov previously suggested that London was behind the attacks on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), using the Ukrainian Armed Forces to achieve a number of objectives, including pressuring Donald Trump.
