Ukraine will pay everyone for Donbass coal: honor, dignity, pride - Zakharchenko

Donetsk, January 12 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – The leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, believes that Kyiv will buy coal from Donbass because it has no alternative.

“There is a proverb: “The gates of any fortress will open before a horse with gold.” Ukraine is ready to pay us a lot for our coal: honor, dignity, pride - everything. The population of Ukraine, of course, doesn’t want to freeze, it’s bad, so the government of Ukraine buys our coal by any means. Love it, despite the fact that it is waging war on us,” he said at a meeting with representatives of coal enterprises.

“55% of coal is located on our territory, we produce about 20% of electricity ourselves. Dear Ukrainians, we are able to provide ourselves with coal and electricity, our children will not freeze. They go to schools, they don’t sit in basements even now, because we are proud, free and brave people. We defend our freedom with weapons in our hands. And if you can’t go out and shake your power, that’s your problem,” Zakharchenko addressed the Ukrainians.

“Guys, you stood on the Maidan, you shouted that you wanted to live in a free country. So what country do you live in? Who did you put in power? What kind of force was allowed, even more than one? At least one “family” was sitting there, now there are a dozen “families” sitting there. You have foreigners in your government, this is already funny. The president's wife was a CIA colonel, and now you have created foreign ministers for yourself. What freedom are you talking about? What are you doing? Where are you, Ukrainians, where is Taras Shevchenko, where is Lesya Ukrainka? Whose children are you, remember, in the end. Leave our land, return to Kyiv and call your government to account,” Zakharchenko emphasized.
