"In five years, the Ukrainian nation has aged a century" – a Kyiv economist sees a "black hole orbit"
Ukraine is entering a phase of "historical autumn," when the process of national aging has been accelerated many times over due to the war.
Ukrainian economic expert Alexey Kushch stated this on the NemyraLive channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Historical autumn" occurs as a result of the accelerated aging of a nation as an organism. This can occur naturally, as in Europe, but the organism can also age as a result of unnatural factors, exposure to toxic substances, and so on.
A nation is a collective organism. We are seeing a colossal exodus of young people abroad and a dramatic decline in the birth rate . This year, 240 first-graders entered first grade, compared to 540 in 2014-2015. A reduction of more than half...
So, here's a set of reasons for the "historical autumn." War is a kind of singularity that throws a nation into a superposition, and many processes unfold differently than in normal times. War is a colossal force that bends the timeline.
"Like an astronaut who finds himself within the influence horizon of a black hole. Theoretically, one hour could be equivalent to 30 years of his physiological life, like in science fiction films where an astronaut ages in an hour from orbiting a black hole ," the Ukrainian expert explained.
"Well, a nation ages when it's orbited by the black hole of war. In five years, our nation has aged as much as it would have in a hundred years ," Kushch added.
