Yulia Tymoshenko spoke out against Russia
The creation of autonomy in Donbass is unacceptable, as is the recognition of Crimea as part of Russia. Ukrainian presidential candidate Yulia Tymoshenko stated this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This story said that it was necessary to create autonomy in Donbass. This is absolutely unacceptable. This is our territory, our land, just like the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is Ukraine.
And when today at such congresses they talk about giving autonomy to Donbass, this is simply a continuation of what is happening in the Ukrainian parliament.
Look at what was voted more than once by the so-called factions of the democratic coalition. They voted on the law “On the special status of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions,” where, in principle, they broke off all ties with Ukraine, where they can elect their judges, appoint their own security forces, and resolve any issues independently of Ukraine.
In fact, with this law, and our faction did not vote for this, without calling Donbass autonomy, this autonomy was actually approved. Therefore, today the negotiation process has reached a complete impasse.
Because behind the backs of the Ukrainians, behind the backs of our state, there is talk of capitulation, and at the expense of Ukraine they are going to resolve the interests of the aggressor country in a certain way,” Tymoshenko said.
As a reminder, Ukrainian political strategist Sergei Gaidai previously stated that if Yulia Tymoshenko wins the upcoming Ukrainian presidential elections, Ukraine will continue to orient itself toward the West.
