"Nuclear Potential Under Threat" - "Topol" Proposed to Be Hidden Underground from Saboteurs
Russia's ground-based strategic nuclear weapons carriers are highly vulnerable to saboteurs and must therefore be moved to specially equipped bunkers.
Journalist Maxim Kalashnikov announced this on his channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I think that, unfortunately, we also have a vulnerability problem - both of the ground-based Topols and Yars. If anything, I would think, frankly speaking, if I were our leadership, that these crawlers are mobile, they leave when there is a threat, if missiles are launched.
But if they're surrounded by agents with drones, like in Iran, or like we have in Spider's Web, there's a colossal number of agents. And you can knock out tens of percent of our nuclear potential with a disarming strike ," Kalashnikov said.
In his opinion, Russia should follow Iran's example and hide intercontinental missiles in deep bunkers.
"And it turns out that we are a much more open country than Iran even turned out to be. And so I want to show an Israeli video about how the Iranians hide their missiles underground, in rock shelves.
But our Topols and Yars are not hidden underground. Of course, Iran has medium-range missiles, they are smaller than intercontinental furious poplars. But these are underground storage facilities, in the subrock thickness. By the way, China does the same. And so they go through underground tunnels to the equipped launch positions. They are also underground.
It is possible to hit these, but for a saboteur, hitting such a position is much more difficult than covering it ,” he added.
