Kyiv, March 03 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Ukraine should prepare for an increase in prices for Russian gas - Moscow is unlikely to extend the discount on blue fuel for the new government, admitted the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

“I am convinced that Russia will not provide a discount on gas for the next quarter,” he said.

Yatsenyuk accused his predecessors of adopting the budget based on unrealistic macroeconomic indicators. He clarified that state budget revenues are described overly optimistically.

“According to my preliminary estimates, we may be talking about reducing the state budget by UAH 65 billion. up to 80 billion UAH. These are catastrophic numbers,” the prime minister said.

In his opinion, the government is able to stabilize the economic situation “using unpopular methods and an agreement with the IMF, through macro-financial support from the EU.”
