“I wanted Maidan to never happen,” - aunt of 7-year-old Yegor killed in Artyomovsk

Bild writes: “He looks into the camera with pride. Egor was specially dressed for a photo shoot at school in a naval uniform. This is one of the last photographs of seven-year-old Yegor, who died on Friday in Artyomovsk as a result of a rocket attack. He was playing with a friend on the road."

The Ukrainian war has already claimed thousands of victims. Officially - 5500, according to German intelligence - more than 50. Yegor's family tells their story.

“The day after the funeral, we meet brother Danila (13) and his aunt Yulia (45) in front of the house in Artyomovsk where Yegor lived with his family. The conditions here are bad: two rooms, little furniture, a toilet outside.

The rocket attack on Friday occurred when Yegor was playing not far away in a kindergarten with a friend. When they heard missile strikes, Yegor was hit by shrapnel. He died on the spot.

Yegor’s aunt Yulia says: “Egor was a friendly child, just as you could imagine. He paid compliments all the time, especially to his mother. The day before his death, he told her: “You are the greatest and most beautiful Mom in the world.”
