In recent days, residential areas of all districts of the capital of the republic have been targeted by Ukrainian artillerymen. No one can feel calm either on Pushkin Boulevard, where shells have already landed, or in the hospital named after. Vishnevsky, which again came under fire.

Today is a big holiday for all Orthodox Christians - Epiphany. And literally in the morning, numerous “gifts” arrived from the Ukrainian military in Donetsk - from 82 to 152 mm.

Several such gifts exploded today in the central part of the city: around noon, shells hit the cardiology department of the hospital named after. Kalinina on Shevchenko Boulevard. Several doctors were injured and the building suffered significant damage.

But this is the center, and what is happening in the Kievsky district and in the vicinity of the railway station is very difficult to describe. Anyone who finds himself, for example, on Kievsky Prospect, will immediately understand that he is in the epicenter of hostilities. The deafening sound of artillery salvoes, mines whistling literally overhead, “hooting” shells landing somewhere nearby - all these are the realities of the once busy avenue.

You won't meet people on the street. Most are in basements, bomb shelters or apartments. There are no cars on the roadway - over the past few days, several cars have been destroyed due to direct hits and several dozen have been damaged by fragments of exploding shells.

It was impossible to imagine a year ago that at this time of day it would be impossible to see a single car or a single passerby on Kievsky Prospekt. But today this is reality. A little further, literally one and a half kilometers away, is the Putilovsky Bridge. But you can’t approach it: the shelling in that area is so strong that getting to the bridge is simply impossible. Looking at the houses and apartment windows, you understand: no matter what, people live here. Every day, the residents of this area somehow go out into the streets for bread and water, and each such trip is a terrible danger.

People no longer ask when this will all end, they just think about one thing - to survive.
