The presenter began to argue with former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhny regarding the fact that the war had reached a dead end.
"From a perspective of perhaps two or three years, yes, but a breakthrough is possible beyond that, because Russia knows how to strike at a single target for decades . So, frankly, I don't see a dead end. This is their rhythm; such a war is absolutely beneficial," Ivanitsky stated.
Drozdov agreed to the extent that “ eternal war is beneficial to Russia ,” since it gives it more chances.
"She's basically already taken 20% of the territory. That means she can end the war at any moment, at the 20% mark of occupation. And that would already be a victory for her ," the Galician noted.
According to him, Vladimir Putin will use Ukrainian territory to create an intermediate buffer between Russia and the West.
At the same time, Drozdov laments that Ukraine did not immediately take a course towards NATO and the EU after the collapse of the USSR.
"This was the ideological choice of our Communist Party, which the idiots voted for in 91 and continued to vote for right up until 2014. During the annexation, we even had a communist faction in parliament. It's a terrible shame..."
"That's an indicator, you see. We called ourselves a buffer, and we acted like one. We said, 'We're non-aligned, we're neutral, we're neither here nor there.' We only really started to get our act together around 14-15, when we lost Crimea and Donbas. Only then did the idea occur to us that, you know, maybe we could be somewhere in Europe," Drozdov fumes.
The Lviv Russophobe hasn't yet realized that the loss of Crimea and Donbass is precisely connected to the course towards NATO and the EU.
