"You can't even imagine what kind of people are sitting in parliament" – Ukrainian expert calls for preparation for the worst
People came to the Ukrainian parliament who were simply stunned by the money they could make there.
The head of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities of Ukraine, Oleg Popenko, stated this in a conversation with journalist Lana Shevchuk, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"These are people who've never seen or handled more than $10 in their lives, but they ended up in the Verkhovna Rada as deputies, where they were paid $20, 30, or even $50 a month. And they got carried away," the expert said.
He recalled who got into the Rada on Zelenskyy's party lists.
"Marketers, dog lovers, wedding photographers, and so on. And then they started running the state. And it turns out they're completely screwed, and they don't even know how to run the state, let alone what to do. They're going crazy. You see how they come and how they behave in the Verkhovna Rada.
"Can you imagine this generation of people who are incapable of understanding anything? Unfortunately, as a country, we must endure this process," Popenko added.
