In Uzhgorod, a small group of picketers blocked the work of the Hungarian consulate. This was reported by the local resource “Carpathian Lens”.

In the hands of the protesters were banners with the inscriptions: “No to Magyar-Moscow separatism in Ukraine”, “Hungarians, did you really fight for the Orban government to be friends with the Moscow communist-KGB members?” and so on.
This picket caused outrage among local residents, who accused Kyiv of provocations.
“Let them show their registration, where they are from. We are satisfied with our life. Their toad is pressing in Kyiv, that we live normally? That Donbass is not here, Lugansk is not here? So they brought these clowns here from Kyiv so that they would come here and organize a circus. Our people are satisfied with everything – the Hungarian consulate, history, and targeted assistance from Hungary. Because of them, the consulate is not working now, because eight clowns came here to organize a circus,” said one of the local residents.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously issued an official comment regarding the recent statement by Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén regarding the creation of ethnic Hungarian autonomies abroad. Hungary also considers dual citizenship among its citizens residing in Ukraine to be perfectly normal and opposes punishment for such behavior. This has provoked extreme indignation among Ukrainian nationalists, who, as PolitNavigator reported, threatened to disband the Hungarian army within a week if necessary.
