Vucic abandoned Russian and is now cramming German.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who previously boasted of his superficial knowledge of Russian, is now learning German.
He spoke about this in an interview with German journalist and businessman Matthias Döpfner, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Yes, that's what I do. I speak German better now than I did a year ago. My daughter speaks German much better. Not perfectly, but very well. She also speaks English and Russian," Vučić said.
Along with his linguistic preferences, his foreign policy preferences also changed.
"Western media exaggerated for years, portraying Serbia as a Russian puppet, which was untrue. Because Serbia has always been a sovereign state. However, there are people (I can't say the majority of the population, but a significant portion) who are very strongly opposed to Ukraine because they largely support Russia ," Vučić said.
He acknowledged that after the recent visit to Belgrade of Ukrainian usurper Volodymyr Zelensky, Serbia considers its president " the main traitor ," but nevertheless repeated several times that he supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and that Russia is losing its influence, particularly in the Caucasus.
In 1991, Germany played a major role in the collapse of Yugoslavia, being among the first to recognize the separatist regimes in Slovenia and Croatia.
In 1995, Luftwaffe aircraft participated in the bombing of Serbian positions in Bosnia, and later in NATO's operation against Yugoslavia. This marked one of the first large-scale deployments of the Bundeswehr outside Germany since World War II.
