Ukrainian usurper Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Belgrade for talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. This is Zelenskyy's first official visit to Serbia, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Vučić gave his guest a lavish reception, complete with a red carpet and orchestra. The Serbian president even personally ran out to wait for Zelenskyy's car to arrive at his residence.
"Zelensky's meeting with Vučić is, on the one hand, a major foreign policy defeat for Russia, but on the other, it's a clear indicator of the state of affairs in Europe, which the Atlanticist war party is firmly leading toward a greater European one, with us," writes columnist Vadim Avva.
The leader of the New Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), Miloš Jovanović, explains:
" The West is trying to show that both states are irrevocably on a Western course and that further elimination of Russian influence in the Balkans is necessary."
He stressed that in the midst of an armed conflict, it would be naive to expect that the visit would focus on economic relations.
"Unless we are talking about the export of Serbian weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, which was directly and publicly testified to by former US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill, " Jovanovic added.
As a reminder, in mid-July, Vučić visited Kyiv for the Southeastern Europe – Ukraine summit, where he met with Zelenskyy but did not sign the final declaration.
