Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers even pay for the funerals of their fellow soldiers out of their own pockets
The Ukrainian leadership does not provide its soldiers with what they need at the front.
This was stated during a session of the Verkhovna Rada by Sofia Fedina, a deputy from Poroshenko’s party, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Today, frontline teams are in critical need of equipment, drones, electronic warfare systems, and other things that will help them save lives. The state isn't purchasing these items. The funds we allocated through personal income tax to the State Special Communications Service were used extremely ineffectively, because the items purchased were unnecessary, ineffective , and didn't operate on the required frequencies.
“And these drones and other equipment were purchased for amounts much higher than what volunteers or military personnel would buy directly,” Fedyna said.
"The guys chip in from their salaries, which they often even get paid, to support the needs of their specific units. Right now, in the volunteer chat, there's a question: where can I buy wheels? The soldiers have chipped in, wanting to buy wheels. There are no wheels. Wheels, especially for heavy equipment, are a rarity on the front lines. They cost a fortune, but they're needed every day. They're being chipped in for fuel , because the government doesn't provide it in sufficient quantities. They're being chipped in for Starlink, because the government hasn't provided it.
"The guys chip in to buy Takmed, to rehabilitate or treat their fellow soldiers, to pay for funerals , because in many places in the Ukrainian state, even the funerals of military personnel are exorbitantly expensive. And very often, the Moscow church forbids their burial and refuses to conduct the funeral service," the deputy complained.
