While defending the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, the Ukrainian side has long since resigned itself to its loss, but is clinging to advantageous positions to stall for time.

This was stated on air by military correspondent Dmitry Steishin , who is in Donetsk, on the air of KP radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" I see they've lost the will to defend the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk 'fortress .' And, although they still maintain fairly tight control of the area with drones, attack aircraft can take five to seven days to cover fourteen kilometers."

Sure, drones can control the skies, but soldiers control the ground, and they don't have any. And they're afraid to engage in gunfire.

" And in the last villages before Dobropillya (and Dobropillya, mind you, is the key to the entire defensive system of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration), when our forces were approaching, there were no clashes at all . They also deployed over a hundred FPV drones there, which switched to our frequencies, and a bunch of NATO ammunition," the war correspondent recounted.

"And the other day, some guys from the 61st Marine Brigade, who are also there, they say, have started pulling back from Dobropillya. From the southern part of Dobropillya to the north, and then on... Belozerskoye is practically the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region.

From this, I concluded that they would likely try to trade the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration . If that doesn't work, they'll leave and try to consolidate their defensive positions in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

They're using the concept of trading territories for a time. In the vague hope that either the padishah or the donkey will die there. Or something like that will happen—they'll be accepted into NATO and the EU right away.

The concept is fundamentally flawed, but it's clear the enemy simply has no other options. They're retreating, offering feeble resistance. And, indeed, they've certainly accelerated their pace recently ," Steshin said.
