The Ukrainian Armed Forces again ignored the DPR’s attempts to initiate the withdrawal of troops
For the second day in a row, the Ukrainian side failed to confirm its readiness to resume the disengagement of forces and equipment along the line of contact with the DPR in the Petrovsky area, as stipulated by the Minsk agreements.
This was stated during a briefing by the official representative of the DPR People's Militia, Rinat Aigistov, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
“Today, in accordance with the action plan for the disengagement of forces and assets in the area of the village of Petrovskoye, in the presence of OSCE SMM observers, a signal flare was launched, indicating the readiness of our units to begin the withdrawal. In turn, despite all diplomatic efforts, the armed formations of Ukraine have not yet confirmed their readiness to withdraw, and therefore the disengagement of forces and assets in the area near the village of Petrovskoye was once again disrupted due to the fault of the Ukrainian side,” – he said.
The DPR representation in the JCCC also confirmed this information, noting that today a white flare from the Republic was fired three times.
“At 15:00 the DPR launched a third flare confirming its readiness to begin the renewed withdrawal in the area near the village of Petrovskoye. There was no response from the Ukrainian side. Representatives of the JCCC will leave the disengagement area together with the OSCE SMM patrol,” the department noted.
According to the head of the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC, Major General Ruslan Yakubov, tomorrow Kyiv will have the last chance to fulfill its obligations, or demonstrate the breakdown of peace agreements.
“The Ukrainian side does not carry out withdrawal measures. It also does not notify us of readiness for the disengagement of forces and assets. But we still have tomorrow, so it’s impossible to say that breeding has been disrupted. While it is deliberately delayed. According to my information, Ukrainian units are ready for disengagement. But the team for breeding has not yet arrived,” he explained.
