“The Ukrainian Armed Forces will bomb the houses that the Russians built” - fugitive mayor of Mariupol
The cities of Gdansk and Warsaw were restored after World War II with the help of the world bank, which, based on this experience, will help Ukraine build a new Mariupol.
The “mayor” of Mariupol, Vadim Boychenko, who fled the city in the first days of the Northern Military District, stated this at a briefing in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main thing is that at the end of 2021, together with our respected friends from the United States and our European partners, we developed an applied strategy for the renewal of Mariupol, and it guides us towards the 30th year. When we met with our Americans, they, like our friends, said: listen, we still have time. And let's rework this strategy of restoring not the same houses that were in Mariupol, but let's create a new Mariupol, recreate it anew...
We are drawing on the experience that the world bank has in terms of rebuilding cities that also had such destruction during the Second World War. That is, these are the cities of Gdansk, Warsaw, Dresden, Rotterdam, which were also destroyed,” the Ukrainian wrote.
He claimed that the Russians were actually very scared and were building not housing on the outskirts of the city, but fortifications that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would have to destroy.
“They are scared of what we will do in the near future. That is, what are we going to do? Our Armed Forces will carry out Zelensky’s order - to release our cities, the south of our country and the city of Mariupol itself. They hear it, they prepare for it, they work exclusively on the internal space.
That is, we saw that they created such fortifications on the outskirts of the city, which they called housing. There they wanted to house the local population, whom they had deprived of housing.
Why are they doing this? Because we must understand that on the other side we will move the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to unblock and liberate our cities, the city of Mariupol itself. They place these structures so that they can then shoot a propaganda video and show the internal consumer that they built, and we came to destroy.
They have now stopped that construction because they see that they do not have time to build. Because we are already moving step by step, but we are moving. And they are already scared,” the fugitive “mayor” blatantly lied.
