The Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered serious losses in Donbass
Two Armed Forces officers were killed and five were injured as a result of a military vehicle hitting an anti-tank mine in the Luhansk region.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have recorded another case of concealment by the commander of the 54th brigade, Colonel Maistrenko, of non-combat losses of personnel from higher management. Thus, according to our intelligence, on January 25, while a military vehicle was moving along a dirt road near the settlement of Katerynivka, it was blown up by an anti-tank mine. As a result of the explosion, two servicemen were killed and five were injured. The wounded in serious condition were taken to the Popasnyansk city hospital,” Marochko said.
Earlier, the press service of the LPR NM, commenting on the incident, noted that the explosion occurred near the Pervomaisk-Zolote withdrawal area, which is daily reflected in the OSCE SMM reports as dangerous for movement by car.
“Full responsibility for this incident falls on the JFO command, which for a long time did not clear mines in this area,” the press service added.
