Military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at an OSCE patrol that was monitoring the situation near the demarcation line on one of the front sections in the Joint Forces Operation zone.
The head of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, announced this at a briefing, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He noted that in order to hide the military equipment prohibited by the Minsk agreements located near the contact line, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is taking unprecedented measures.
“According to information from a source in the 54th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on July 4, in the area of the disengagement area of forces and equipment, on the orders of the commander of the 54th brigade, Colonel Alexei Maistrenko, a patrol of the OSCE mission was fired at, monitoring the situation near the village of Zolote,” said Yakov Osadchy .
He also added that this fact was recorded by the OSCE patrol in its report.
“Despite the fact that the mission’s report clearly presents the Ukrainian side as the culprit of the shelling, a number of leading Ukrainian media have already rushed to blame the People’s Militia units for the incident,” the representative of the defense department noted in conclusion.
