Fewer and fewer countries are eager to provide Kyiv with airfields for F-16s
The West is well aware of Moscow’s warnings that airfields provided to Kyiv in other countries for F-16s will become legitimate targets.
Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this on the channel of Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" The arrival of F -16s clearly will lead to a certain escalation , a certain response from Russia. Moreover, Russia has repeatedly stated that if F-16s take off from other countries' airfields, it will consider these airfields as targets for its own strikes. And now many countries are seriously considering whether to deploy F -16s to their airfields, particularly in Moldova and elsewhere, because this risks further escalation of the war," the political scientist noted.
According to him, this is wonderfully understood in the West.
"Therefore, I do not rule out that, theoretically, Ukraine will be provided with F-16s, but in reality, they will probably be used in targeted areas so as to, God forbid, prevent a third world war," Bondarenko added.
