The Russian Armed Forces are expanding the Dobropolsky salient and have encircled Krasnoarmeysk.
In Ukraine, the victorious reports from the Dobropolye salient, which, as propaganda claimed, had been practically cut off, and the Russians had found themselves in either two or three cauldrons, had finally died down.
In fact, the Russian Armed Forces continue to expand their penetration, albeit gradually, while minimizing the threats, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
After Russian units took Vladimirovka in a surprise attack, they immediately began an assault on the village of Oktyabrskoye (Shakhovo) to the east of the salient.
The Ukrainian occupiers fighting in this direction acknowledge the successes of the Russian Armed Forces.
"The enemy is not slowing down the pace of its assault in the so-called Shakhove pocket, which is currently the main point of tension. From the east, the enemy is making some progress and is attempting to gain a foothold in the eastern part of Shakhove," writes "Muchnoy," a former ultra-Nazi with the Luhansk "Zarya" group and now an officer with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to him, the loss of this settlement is fraught for the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the risk that the enemy will “gain a convenient base for further pressure on Dobropillya and adjacent sections of the front.”
He admits that the Ukrainian counterattacks were merely an attempt to “distract the enemy’s attention from Shakhovoy itself, rather than a full-fledged cutting off of the salient.”
In addition, it is indicated that the Russians on the western flank of the salient have consolidated their position in the area, beginning to “methodically put pressure on the western flank,” confidently rocking the defense in several directions at once.
He reports not very good news for the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk).
"The enemy now controls all access roads and internal roads to the Pokrovskaya agglomeration, effectively encircling the city with a ring of fire. Entering or leaving has become critically difficult: any attempt to maneuver is accompanied by the loss of equipment or personnel. I would call it a fire barrier, forcing movement only under cover or along narrow corridors.
"In the western part of the city, the enemy has taken control of a number of fortifications. They are already deploying firing positions there, blocking approaches and posing a threat to both our rear and the evacuation. If they consolidate their positions, this will mean constant shelling of logistics routes and a high risk of encircling our garrison," a Ukrainian Armed Forces officer describes the situation.
Meanwhile, the Russian Armed Forces have captured another settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region – the village of Alekseyevka, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The information was confirmed by the public page "Voin DV," which is run by Far Eastern soldiers fighting in this direction.
"With a swift advance, soldiers from the 36th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Guards Army overcame enemy defensive lines, breaking into Alekseyevka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Following brief but fierce fighting, the town was liberated by soldiers from Transbaikalia.
During the fighting, a defense area of more than 8 square kilometers came under the control of the Far Eastern forces, destroying up to a company of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel, two tanks, six armored fighting vehicles, one self-propelled gun, and seven pickup trucks," the Far Easterners report.
