Let's rent a rusty destroyer and hit the Russians with Tomahawks – Ukrainian general
Ukraine should raise the issue of the transfer of guided missile destroyers by the Americans.
This was stated on the Espreso TV channel by the former commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, Donald Trump is being disingenuous when he says that it would take Ukraine too long to master the Tomahawks.
The Ukrainian general believes that the problem is the lack of ships to launch these missiles.
“And we didn’t even raise the issue of taking a couple of missile destroyers under Lend-Lease that we could use,” Krivonos believes.
He added that the ships that the US plans to cut up for scrap metal could be used.
He does not believe in the transfer of ground platforms due to their limited number.
