The reason for the conflict with the management, commonly known as DUSya, was the intention to privatize the enterprise and replace its director with an acting one. According to the protesters, the acting they put it on purpose so that “later you can’t ask someone for the factory damages.”

“Last week we were promised to privatize the plant,” plant workers told a Navigator correspondent. “Then they said that there would be no privatization.” But Kuzhel (people’s deputy from the ruling Batkivshchyna party. - Ed.)) just came out of parliament and said that the plant was subject to privatization. We are not prostitutes and there is no need to sell us. We want to work for the state, and not for the bandit who will come.”

After this, Ratushnyak, who was watching what was happening, said to those gathered: “Instead of working, you are standing here.” People immediately began chanting “Ganba”, “Liars” and “DUS - you are deep in corruption.” As a result, the DUSI official had to leave the scene of the conflict.
