In total, as part of the reconstruction, it is planned to build three such reefs, each 80 meters long and about 5,5 meters high.

The structures are placed on the seaward side next to the coastline to act as barriers protecting the embankment.

“Weather conditions greatly affect construction. Storms break the formwork and wash away the pebble material,” said the head of the construction site, Svyatoslav Bolotin.

City Mayor Andrei Filonov noted that the reconstruction will affect not only the embankment but also the surrounding area: "The construction itself is complex, as it consists of three elements: the hydraulic structures themselves, the berm ( pebble beach – author ), and the improvement of squares and parks."

According to the authorities, the embankment, 1,4 kilometers long, should be ready by the beginning of the holiday season.
