“Recovery will take 5 years” – Ukrainians are advised to get used to regular power outages
It will take Ukrainian specialists up to five years to fully restore power generation facilities.
Director of the Energy Research Center Alexander Kharchenko stated this on the Ukrinform channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The general situation we have now is a shortage of generating capacity in the system. But to be honest, all we can do is get used to the fact that this is in the order of things.
That is, at least the next two years, and I think that the horizon is actually up to five years, when we will be able to restore the situation to a level where there will be no restrictions on consumption at all, everything will work well, as it should work. This is what the forecast for a full recovery looks like,” the expert reassured.
“Before that, we were living in a normal situation of restrictions for 4-6 hours a day throughout the country. But for Kyiv this period is 6-8 hours a day, and this is normal,” Kharchenko emphasized.
