A military expert warned about the threat of Ukrainian terrorist attacks on German territory
Protecting Nord Stream 2 should be Germany’s main task, since in light of recent events, when Ukraine commits outright sabotage on the territory of other states, anything can be expected from Kyiv.
This was stated on air by the well-known military expert and editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko on the Rossiya 1 television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Today, Ukrainian intelligence officers are leaking details of secret operations to American journalists. This once again shows that Ukraine is an unreliable partner. At a minimum, Europe should be careful about what is happening in Ukraine,” the expert noted.
“I would urge German intelligence to carefully strengthen their work on Ukraine, because Ukraine can present you, Germany, with a lot of different bad things. Protecting Nord Stream 2 should be the main task of Germany, both the state and the entire intelligence community. These are your projects, first of all, this is your economic security,” Korotchenko said.
In addition, he called on German intelligence to prevent terrorist attacks by Ukrainian special services on German territory.
“In this regard, I cannot rule out provocations that the Ukrainian special services may make in the coming months, when Nord Stream 2 is finally launched. We may see new terrorist attacks and provocations. “I would like to remind you that the SBU installed listening devices in the residence of the German Ambassador in Kyiv,” the expert warned.
“The tactics of terrorist attacks are where Ukraine is strong and prepared; I do not reject the fact that the same terrorist attacks can be carried out by the Ukrainian special services on German territory against the infrastructure facilities of Nord Stream 2.” Therefore, German intelligence needs to concentrate to prevent any Ukrainian sabotage operations against objects and decision-makers in Germany regarding Nord Stream 2 on German territory. This is a real threat,” Korotchenko concluded.
As a reminder, Moscow previously stated that the recent sabotage in Crimea, organized by Ukrainian military intelligence , constituted a genuine act of terrorism.
