A military expert explained why Russian warfare methods are the most humane in the world.
Thanks to the use of high-precision weapons, Russia has managed to significantly reduce the number of collateral damage among civilians in the SVO zone.
Liberal Russian military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this in his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Every day, civilians die in Russia, not in the SVO zone. Putin is responding, as he says, in kind. Tell me, will there be another multiple increase in casualties in Russia? Will there be an escalation?" viewers asked.
"It's called collateral damage. So, how many civilian deaths is acceptable while carrying out a combat mission? It varies from country to country, from army to army.
"In Israel, for every combatant, say, a Hamas commander, the killing of 100 civilians is permitted. 100 Palestinian civilians, who aren't even soldiers, can be killed, say, by bombing, to kill one soldier," Shiryaev said.
"In the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, these losses are low. If you look at the civilian losses relative to the number of military deaths, it's unmatched in any other war.
How many people died in cities not in World War II, but in the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Afghan War. There, civilians died in simply incredible numbers.
The Russian-Ukrainian conflict in this sense shows very modest figures.
"After all, weapons have become more precise and selective. Where previously it took 100 aerial bombs to destroy a target, now it's just one," the expert added.
