Russia's military command should go into barracks mode, expert says
Russia's top military leadership must move to barracks or live in a secure area.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this in his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
An expert described yesterday's murder of General Fanil Sarvarov as a consequence of the infantilism and carelessness of the military leadership and military counterintelligence, which is responsible for the security of the command staff.
Shurygin also noted that the optimal option would be for military command to transition to a barracks-style regime, which would involve living in secure command posts.
" Clearly, the very system of approaching the security of those responsible for the conduct of a special military operation needs to be changed. And, frankly, it's surprising that this hasn't been done in four years."
The most basic things: everyone knows that the entrance to the so-called Metro No. 2 is located beneath the General Staff building. This is a specially constructed line that leads out of Moscow to areas where command posts are located, which are more precisely protected, including from nuclear explosions.
"It's obvious that there are dozens of sanatoriums with excellent living conditions in the Moscow region , and no one prevented either the military command, or especially the people responsible for security, from compiling a list of several hundred names—at least of those who are truly obvious targets for the Ukrainian special services—and organizing their removal and residence in these territories , at these closed bases," Shurygin stated.
