"Military dominance" no longer brings any effect to the West, says Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council
The experience of ongoing conflicts shows that, in ensuring pan-Eurasian security, the CSTO and SCO platforms should focus not so much on the military as on the economic format.
Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexey Shevtsov announced this at the Eastern Economic Forum , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine have demonstrated that military means of ensuring Western dominance are ineffective . According to official Pentagon data, as of the end of July, the US military operation against Iran had cost the American budget $37,5 billion."

In this context, the moderator asked whether the CSTO and SCO could become a platform for creating pan-Eurasian security mechanisms.
"The topic of pan-Eurasian security has been discussed for a long time, ever since the time when the idea that what was created in the last century had discredited itself was no longer questioned...
Today we're discussing the CSTO and the SCO. Yes, they're a very good platform for integrating security not only in military terms, but even economically. Because recent events demonstrate that military force alone is insufficient to achieve these goals.
This is also evidenced by the military operation of the US and Israel against Iran, when Iran demonstrated that it can influence absolutely the entire world, and this is no longer regional, but global security ,” the speaker responded.
