This direction was enthusiastically supported by the Russian President,” Lukashenko said.
He also spoke about cooperation between enterprises of the military-industrial complex, including Integral, aviation, and armored vehicles.
“These factories of ours are in demand there. Let's, I say, cooperate. The President of Russia said that this was very interesting for them. Therefore, both the government, the State Secretariat, and the Ministry of Defense need to be more active in this direction,” Lukashenko said.
He is also ready to spend the rest of the loan allocated by the Russian Federation for the construction of the BelNPP for military needs, in particular, for the purchase of aircraft in Russia.
“I tell Putin in a friendly way: if I save, then you will leave this loan in Belarus for other needs. Let's say for the military. If this does not strain the Russian economy, we will use the remainder of this loan, including for military needs. Maybe for the purchase of aircraft and more modern equipment. There was no rejection,” Lukashenko said.
