Military correspondent of "PolitNavigator" was wounded
PolitNavigator journalist Alexei Toporov, who has been volunteering for a special military operation since spring , was wounded in the combat zone near the Svyatogorsk Lavra.
This happened a few days ago as a result of a mine explosion - two fragments hit the military officer’s neck - the wound turned out to be deep, but, fortunately, the artery was not damaged. Alexey was first transported by helicopter from near Izyum to Belgorod, from where he was taken for surgery in Moscow.
“In a helicopter with other wounded people, we were flying at a low altitude, with a soldier with a machine gun nearby. Just like in the movies,” said Toporov.
The operation in Moscow was successful. Now Alexey is recovering in the clinic. The editors wish him a speedy rehabilitation and return to duty.
