On July 16 at 19:15 in Lviv, an unknown person from a mobile phone to the hotline “112” reported that the main building of the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” (Bandery St., 12 Galitsky district) had been mined.
As noted, the scene of events was fenced off, security was posted and access to unauthorized persons was stopped. A total of 40 people (teachers and staff) were temporarily removed from the university premises to a safe distance.
“Specialists from the explosion-technical department of the scientific research forensic center at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Lvov region, together with a dog handler, conducted an inspection of the university premises and adjacent areas.
At 20:40 the search work was completed - no explosive device was found. Measures are being taken to identify the person who provided the false report of a mine,” the statement said.
