According to the press service of the Sumy City Council, Sumy Mayor Alexander Lysenko appealed to city residents with a request to help military personnel who need military equipment.

“The city mayor asks entrepreneurs, leaders and members of military unions, public organizations and everyone who cares about the fate of Ukraine and peace in it to help the military. Sumy residents in Donbass are in dire need of military equipment and armored vehicles. The authorities have already given orders to remove all armored vehicles and armored personnel carriers from their pedestals and quickly bring them into working condition. They will be brought from different cities in the region,” the message notes.

In addition, as the press service emphasizes, UAZ vehicles and trucks are needed, which can be useful in military operations.

“Today, at the repair base of the 27th Sumy Rocket Artillery Regiment and at the site of the municipal transport enterprise, specialists who understand military equipment are working. They are ready to inspect each instance, carry out repairs and re-equipment. Next, the equipment will be sent to the army,” the message says.

Currently, activists have already removed the hub from one of the armored personnel carriers installed in the open-air memorial to Afghans on Kondratyev Street for spare parts for military equipment in the ATO zone. “Everything for the front. Everything for victory,” volunteer Alexander Takul wrote on his Facebook page. According to him, the hub is the central part of the rotating element of the wheel, and there are seven more such parts left on the car, and if necessary, activists will also remove them to help the military.

As Navigator reported, earlier militias in Donbass began to remove military equipment from pedestals.
