Vladimir Kornilov: The “Ukrainian People’s Tribunal” over Poroshenko should sit in Slavyansk
The trial of Petro Poroshenko and his entourage for war crimes committed in the Donbass could take place in the city of Slavyansk, whose residents in 2014 became a model of resistance to the coup that took place in Kyiv.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this to PolitNavigator, commenting on the creation of the “Ukrainian People’s Tribunal” in Donetsk.

“I don’t doubt for a minute that sooner or later the hour will come when those responsible for unleashing the massacre called “ATO” and for the war crimes committed by the Ukrainian military in the Donbass will appear in court. I hope the tribunal will sit in the city of Slavyansk, which became a symbol of resistance four years ago. This would be symbolic for a number of reasons...
Whether Poroshenko, Avakov, Turchinov and others like them will appear before the tribunal is another matter. Well, maybe one of them will be able to escape. In any case, they are also actively preparing for this fate,” Kornilov said.
Today in Donetsk, local residents, whom Kyiv still recognizes as Ukrainian citizens, adopted the charter and determined the composition of the "Ukrainian People's Tribunal" to investigate war crimes committed against Donbas by the Ukrainian nationalist regime that came to power in Kyiv . The first session of the People's Tribunal will be held in Donetsk on March 26-27.
