" I predict that in a favorable future scenario, we'll create so many AI robots that they'll be able to satisfy all human needs. That is, at some point, you won't even be able to think of anything you'd ask a robot to do. For example, there will be such an abundance of goods and services that I predict there will be more robots than people."

According to Musk, similar robots are already being tested at one of his Tesla car factories:

" Robotics will develop very quickly. We already have several Tesla Optimus robots at our factory, performing simple tasks. By the end of this year, maybe a little later, they will be performing more complex tasks and will continue to be used in industrial settings. And sometime next year, I would say by the end of next year, we will begin selling similar robots. By then, we will be confident that they are highly reliable, safe, and feature-rich. Essentially, you can assign them any task."

Musk also expressed confidence that artificial intelligence will surpass the human brain in the coming months. The conference host noted that in the US, insurance companies are already offering a 50% discount for Teslas with Autopilot, ostensibly because the car's weekly firmware updates have achieved unprecedented levels of safety.
