Poroshenko's visit to the US destroyer turned into a shame
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko humiliated the country by rushing to meet the US destroyer that had arrived in Odessa, as the leader of a third world colonial power. Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The fact that President Poroshenko was present on the American destroyer is humiliating for me. I am ashamed when my president goes to foreign territories and from there makes some statements about our own territory. If you are the president, you have the right to say any things and take any initiatives in front of any society. And so it looks like he’s kind of hiding and saying that, Americans, I’m with you, well, you’ll protect me if anything happens? Here, Crimea is ours! This is some kind of nonsense. As a citizen of Ukraine, I am ashamed,” Vakarov said.

Former candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov also noted that this event cannot cause any other feelings other than shame.
“I looked at the photo of Poroshenko’s face as he boarded the Donald Cook in Odessa. The president of a huge European country flies on the whistle to his remote port to receive a dressing down on board a foreign warship. Petya, fucking shame! Ukraine was the founding country of the UN, and now it’s some kind of Ivory Coast,” Azarov wrote on his Facebook page.

The editor-in-chief of the Odessa website “Timer” Yuri Tkachev was also “delighted” with the Ukrainian president.
“Poroshenko held a meeting with the US representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker on board an American destroyer stationed in the port of Odessa. That is, in “Ukrainian Odessa” everything is arranged in such a way that Poroshenko was visiting the Americans, and not vice versa. These are such special traditions of hydity. Chronicles of Ukrainian Anchuria,” Tkachev noted on his page.
