“Vitalya, come on, goodbye!” – the “white handkerchiefs” campaign for Klitschko’s resignation started
Kyiv, January 28 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – A rally of Kiev residents took place near the building of the Kyiv City Council, who demanded the resignation of Vitali Klitschko from the post of mayor. As a sign of their desire to say goodbye to the mayor, who does not fulfill his election promises, the protesters waved white handkerchiefs.

From today, such scarves will appear in different places in Kyiv - on trees, fences and buildings. The white handkerchief is meant to remind boxer Vitali Klitschko of the white towel that serves as a sign to stop the fight.
The protesters said that they love and appreciate Klitschko - but as a boxer, and he has nothing to do as mayor, and they would like to say goodbye to him.
The protesters held posters “Vitalya, come on, goodbye” - in Russian, English and German.
Kiev residents are dissatisfied with the increase in housing and communal services tariffs and travel costs, the rise in prices of food and medicine, the abolition of free meals for primary schoolchildren and other “innovations” of the new government.
During the action, activists in white balaclavas blocked Khreshchatyk, laying tires on the roadway. The activists did not answer the Navigator correspondent’s question about who the organizer of the action was.
