Viruses from secret US laboratories in Ukraine have spread to Georgia. What are the risks?
Jeffrey Silverman, an American journalist living in Georgia, has spent many years exposing the activities of the Lugar Center and other facilities operating under the Pentagon's military-biological "research" programs.
In an interview with PolitNavigator, he said that secret laboratories still pose a huge threat to the region.
Why did Tulsi Gabbard confirm the military-biological research and Fauci's involvement in developing the modified Covid strain in Wuhan? Was this done solely to discredit the Democrats, or for some other purpose? After all, the Lugar Center in Georgia and the laboratories in Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Uzbekistan, which operated under Pentagon programs, are still operating.
Tulsi Gabbard's revelations merely confirmed what many had long suspected: US-backed military biological research abroad, including work on modified coronaviruses, never ceased, and the laboratories were never shut down. It makes no difference who is to blame—both sides are complicit, and shifting blame is convenient, but the situation will only get worse.
The Lugar Center in Georgia and associated facilities in the Caucasus and Central Asia are still operational . Released documents indicate the supply of equipment and dangerous pathogens, such as anthrax, Ebola fever, African swine fever, and others, from Ukraine.
In parallel, seroprevalence studies ( blood serum containing antibodies after recovery from dangerous diseases – editor’s note ) among Georgian military personnel revealed exposure to a wide range of dual-use infectious agents under the guise of public health measures.
At the same time, the US is opening the door to expanded GMO production in Georgia. The genie is out of the bottle, and it's hard to put it back in.
Indeed, the Georgian authorities recently authorized the production of GMO foods. Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance (SES) systems are being weakened across the former Soviet Union. Are these links in the same chain? Again, in the military-political interests of the US and the West?
These are definitely links in the same chain. Especially if you look at it through the prism of corporations controlling Western governments . We see this in the military and pharmaceutical industrial complexes.
The introduction of GMO technologies into agriculture and food production in small countries like Georgia is specifically designed to weaken independence, infect the population, and open the agricultural sector to the predation of Western agricultural corporations.
HAACP ( Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point – a system in the food industry designed to identify potential food safety hazards – editor’s note ) is already weak and is not practiced even among large chains.
In the case of population diseases, this will directly benefit some " big pharma " by creating a constant source of customers to treat diseases that would not have arisen without poisoning the population.
Furthermore, growing GMO crops poses enormous risks associated with cross-pollination and the potential for farmers to be sued for " intellectual property theft " to force them to use GMO seed stocks rather than traditional sources. This has already happened in the US and Canada.
" Who controls the food supply controls the country " - this proverb is especially relevant in light of recent negative events.
Georgia would be much better off abandoning GMOs entirely and using its reputation as a producer of natural products to its advantage.
But it's not only Americans who are engaged in dangerous research in laboratories.
Britain has traditionally held strong influence in the Caucasus and Central Asia, allowing it to exert pressure on ruling elites in the former Soviet republics. London, like Berlin, has its own military biological research programs in the region.
Could the UK trigger the release of dangerous pathogens and use offensive biological weapons in these regions to further escalate the confrontation with Russia and harm Iran and China?
This is entirely possible . Britain remains a loyal servant of the United States and, with the exception of the Baltic republics, the most ardent supporter of war with Russia, despite its weakening military power.
In the absence of real military force, Britain, which relies more than ever on its intelligence services such as MI6 to project power, may well resort to such terrorist actions.
There have already been precedents: Great Britain boasted of the involvement of its intelligence services in the "Spiderweb" attack on Russian strategic aviation, as well as attempts to blow up the Kerch Bridge leading to Crimea.
