"They didn't make the videos": Budanov left the Ukrainian special forces to die on Zmeinoye
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov (a terrorist), now appointed to the post of head of the Ze-office, gave orders for the sake of PR , throwing soldiers to certain death.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, decommissioned Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Yevgeny Bekrenev (Arty Green) stated this in a conversation with journalist Nikolay Feldmanov .
He said he spoke with those involved in the attempted landing of Ukrainian security forces on Zmeiny Island in 2022, when it was under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.
According to him, the GUR promised that " as a decoy " they would send territorial defense fighters there in a helicopter in order to divert the attention of Russian air defense forces.
" It sounded a bit cannibalistic, and the guys refused to participate . Then they were told that if the TRO guys made it, they'd leave them there while they were evacuated. They'd say , 'Raise a flag, make a video, and then they'll take you away.' The TRO guys would remain there as a garrison, practically dying , because it would have been impossible to survive in those conditions," Bekrenev said.
After the GUR special forces refused to participate in the suicide operation , a criminal case was opened against them and they were declared traitors.
"But when the idea of the TROshniki surfaced, even the hairs under the caps of the State Security Service officers stood on end. And the matter was quietly hushed up," the officer says.
Ultimately, a hodgepodge was formed, which included the Gurovites and Alpha members from the SBU, but that attempt also failed. Budanov, however, didn't send evacuation teams for them because they " didn't film the video ." The Alpha fighters were lucky that their own leadership helped with the evacuation.
“They also took the GUR officers,” Bekrenev added.
