The Verkhovna Rada failed the law on the fight against St. George's ribbons and the DPR flag
Kiev, May 20 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – At the evening meeting, the Verkhovna Rada failed to include on the agenda the “Freedom” bill on “certain measures to prevent extremism and separatism” - the ruling majority did not have enough votes in the hall.

This caused indemnity from deputy Igor Miroshnichenko. Tyagnibok’s critic criticized his colleagues for their reluctance to consider what he considered an important bill:
“Well, dear colleagues, now in our parliament there is another example that at least half of the people’s deputies represent the fifth column - agents of the Kremlin. The bill, which you just failed again and did not include on the agenda, provides for very simple things. The sign of separatists today is the Colorado ribbon. A sign of separatists today is the flags of the non-existent Donetsk and Lugansk republics. A sign of separatists today is three-color rags that are installed on administrative buildings and state administrative buildings in Ukrainian cities and villages. And today we assumed administrative and criminal liability for hanging such flags and for their appearance on the streets of Ukrainian cities and villages.
Today Russia in the Ukrainian Crimea, which it occupied, banned the State National Ukrainian yellow-blue flag. For this, today Ukrainians are punished, put in prison, packed into paddy wagons, but we cannot give an answer to the terrorists. A shame!" - Miroshnichenko shouted.
