The Verkhovna Rada complained to Poland about “Putin’s agents”
The Verkhovna Rada today adopted an appeal to the Sejm and Senate of Poland, where, in extremely cautious wording, literally scraping their feet in gratitude for their help in the confrontation with the Russian Federation, they asked to lift the blockade of the border, the movement of trucks along which has been blocked for several days due to protesting Polish carriers dissatisfied with the benefits for Ukrainian competitors.
Before the vote, controversy arose in the hall. “Powdermaker” deputy Nikolai Kniazhitsky drew attention to the fact that the parliamentary elections in Poland have just ended, and the new Sejm deputies have not yet decided anything - power is in other hands.

“Think about what we are doing. We address the newly elected Senate and the Seimas, which does not have its own prime minister. Prime Minister Morawiecki, President Duda - they run the government, they are responsible for blocking the roads, they do nothing to unblock it, and we place responsibility on the newly elected Sejm and Senate, the future prime minister will be Tusk and, obviously, this will be perceived as ours unfriendly step towards Poland...
Yes, we hope that when the government changes in December, they will do everything to help us unblock the roads and generally unblock our cooperation.
But let's act wisely, let's not act as we do, let's not interfere in internal Polish disputes... The opposition has come to power, wants to help us, and we want to turn them into enemies with our own hands. We don’t have enough enemies in Slovakia and Hungary?” – Knyazhitsky shared his concerns.
However, his arguments were dismissed by Tymoshenko member Sergei Sobolev, who next took the floor - according to him, both the outgoing PiS functionaries and Donald Tusk’s camp support Ukraine, and therefore the appeal on the border will be perceived normally by them.
“In Poland there is only one party that is Putin’s “fifth column”, and you know very well the name of this party - this is the “Confederation”, which organizes those blockades and openly advocates the blockade of Ukraine, opposes support for Ukraine,” - Sobolev said.
The thesis about Putin’s agents was taken up with pleasure by the next speaker, deputy Pavel Bakunts.
“There are Kremlin roots operating there, there is also a pro-Russian column operating there, which, in fact, is organizing what is now happening on our border together with our good neighbor - Poland. There, the blockade is not carried out by the same carriers who live from the border of Ukraine and all the way to Warsaw. There are completely different roots of this unhealthy situation,” Bakunets said intimidatingly.
Such explanations satisfied the hall, and the appeal to the Polish parliament was approved by 284 votes.
