The Verkhovna Rada obliges educational institutions to display portraits of ATO militants
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution “On honoring the Heroes of Ukraine and informing citizens of Ukraine about the exploits of the Ukrainian military.”

“To recommend that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine instruct general education and higher educational institutions of all types and forms of ownership to equip and systematically update on the territory of their premises information and memorial stands about the Heroes of Ukraine and their exploits during the defense of Ukraine from the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, to develop an appropriate regulation,” – says the text of the document.
Another paragraph of the resolution recommends that local government bodies “ensure that residents of the relevant territories are informed about the Heroes of Ukraine - participants in the anti-terrorist operation in Ukraine, who are natives of these territories, by publishing information about them in official printed publications of local government bodies, as well as by renaming streets and the names of educational institutions.” establishments in settlements where Heroes of Ukraine lived/are living in their honor, installation of memorial plaques and memorial signs in their places of residence.”
The Verkhovna Rada has ordered educational institutions to display portraits of ATO fighters.
