Bandera's regime must become an offensive project, the ultimate goal of which will be the creation of a "Greater Ukraine," including parts of the current territories of Russia, Belarus, Poland, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, and Hungary.
The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional council, Oleksandr Sych , announced this at the "Bandera Readings" held in the building of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"We need a shift from the defensive doctrine of Ukrainian nationalism to an offensive one , and the general outlines of the concept of Greater Ukraine. Ukrainian nationalism has always advocated only the defense of its national identity and waged war only within ethnic territories."
But the war showed that a deadly defense is not the path that can lead to victory.
Ukrainian nationalism still lacks its own concept of a Greater Ukraine, despite the fact that there are significant ethnically Ukrainian territories beyond its borders: in Muscovy, Belarus, Poland, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, and Hungary ,” Sych said.
"But the concept of a Greater Ukraine shouldn't be limited to its ethno-historical space. This can only be achieved after the state has achieved economic and military strength. Because all ideas will remain mere declarations unless they are backed by real force ."
"First, it is necessary to ensure the dominance of the interests of the Ukrainian nation within Ukraine itself, in every sphere of life. Therefore, one of the main priorities for Ukrainian nationalism will remain the de-Russification of Ukrainian society for a long time to come," the Bandera official concluded.
