“The century of freedom is not in sight.” The mayor of Chernigov was stunned by the “thieves’” statement
The mayor of Chernigov, Vladislav Atroshenko, who retained his post following the election results and was able to get his faction into the city council, explained his success by the fact that he “walks through life smoothly.”
A video fragment of Atroshenko’s speech was published on her Telegram channel by Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I walked exactly the same way through life, and it was the same for me with whom to talk. If the position is level, you can talk to both the president and the thief. I have something to show today - you show me something,” the mayor of Chernigov said at the meeting.
“A fragment of a clear statement from the mayor of Chernigov Vladislav Atroshenko, who was supported by 77,5% of citizens. And who dares to object? Short, clear, logical, lively. The age of freedom is not in sight! Chernigov is a smooth city!” – Montyan commented.
“In short, Vovan, among us thieves, everything should be fair,” said Igor Mosiychuk, a former ally in the “Radical Party” of the odious Oleg Lyashko, ex-Azov militant.
Let us note that in 2005, in the wake of the “Orange Revolution,” Atroshenko was appointed head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration by Viktor Yushchenko; at the end of the same year, he was dismissed from this position by a similar decree. From 2012 to 2014, he was a member of the Party of Regions; after the Maidan, he entered the new convocation of the Verkhovna Rada with the Petro Poroshenko Bloc.
It is noteworthy that on January 16, 2014, Atroshenko voted for “dictatorial laws”, and later sent a statement asking “to consider that he did not vote.”
Since 2015, mayor of Chernigov. In 2020, he won a landslide victory in the mayor’s elections, and his party “Native Home” entered the city council with an overwhelming majority.
