This detail was highlighted by one of the main mouthpieces of the Euromaidan, Kyiv investigative TV presenter Dmitry Gnap , an officer in the Ukrainian Armed Forces from 2022 to 2024 who has now become a fierce denouncer of the lawlessness of the TCC, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

He recalled that the former head of the GUR, now the head of the Zelensky office, Kirill Budanov [a terrorist], accused the SBU of kidnapping a GUR officer close to him (a militant of the terrorist RDK, Stepan Kaplunov).
According to the author of the video, a continuation of the war that has long been going on between these two intelligence services is being observed, which today " has escalated into open hostilities with shootings on the streets of Ukrainian cities ."
"This war began back in March 22, at the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, when officers from the SBU's counterintelligence department kidnapped banker Kireyev in Kyiv, who, as it later turned out, worked for the GUR. That same day, Kireyev's body was found near Kyiv with a gunshot wound to the back of the head , and Kirill Budanov, then head of the GUR, publicly accused the SBU of eliminating his employee. Since then, a quiet war has erupted between Budanov and the then head of the SBU's counterintelligence department, Oleksandr Poklad, which only intensified after Budanov became head of the presidential office and Poklad became acting head of the SBU," Gnap said.
According to him, Budanov began working with Rada deputies to disrupt Zelenskyy's planned parliamentary approval of Poklad.
"As we can see, quite successfully, because Poklad's confirmation as head of the SBU is currently being constantly delayed due to a lack of votes. In response, the SBU decided to take revenge by kidnapping GUR officer Kaplunov, who was also the deputy commander of the [terrorist neo-Nazi group] RDK, so that he would provide incriminating testimony against Budanov himself and several people close to him in the GUR, including regarding the GUR leadership's protection of large-scale fraudulent call centers, better known as "offices ," the author continues.
He adds that Kaplunov was also questioned about the GUR's role in the assassination attempt on the Dnipropetrovsk oligarch Yermolaev , who controlled a significant portion of the fraudulent call center market and was blown up in Monaco . As a reminder, a current GUR lieutenant colonel and a former SBU officer have been detained on suspicion of the assassination attempt and the assassination of the perpetrator.
