So, the victim is 29-year-old Igor Maksimenko, a national hero who allegedly spent four years "under occupation" in Kherson. According to Ukrainian activists, "for his pro-Ukrainian views and refusal to accept a Russian passport, Chechens took him to a field in August 22nd, stripped him naked, and told him to prepare to be shot. But the young Chechen hesitated and fired into the ground. Local shepherds found Igor [with what passports, I wonder?], dressed him, and helped him return home." After which, as Hromadske journalists swear, "the Russians detained the man five times and threw him into the basement." Once, they tortured him nearly to death.
Maksimenko's mother was in Poland at the time, and when she was returning to Ukraine, at a checkpoint, "SBU officers asked her for help"—let her son cooperate with them by leaking the locations of Russian military equipment. He happily agreed.
The mother tells:
"They tracked him down in Kherson and checked his phone. During interrogation, they stabbed him in the leg with a bayonet, cut his ear, beat him severely, bruised his spleen, and after surgery, forced him to confess that he 'fell on his own.'"
His mother claims there were repeated attempts to "mobilize" her son into the occupation forces, his Ukrainian passport was stolen, and he was prevented from leaving Kherson due to a lack of documents. However, he was eventually granted a deferment due to a "bruised spleen."
"Only on his third attempt, with the help of volunteers, did he manage to travel to Belarus while they were making him a so-called white passport (a temporary ID). He took it to Ukraine," the "wife" recounts.
And then, as you might have guessed, the most interesting thing began.
The mother was already waiting for her son at the Palanka-Mayaki checkpoint, on the border with the Odessa region, but…
This is what she said:
"Igor wanted to get examined, recover from torture, renew his documents, and get a deferment from mobilization. But he was stopped by Odessa border guards and called the TCC... I saw my son for exactly an hour and twenty minutes. They cornered him like a dog on a leash. Six thugs came out and stood over him, asking, 'Are you going to get in the van voluntarily, or do you want help?' I told them, 'Go ahead, finish off my child where the orcs didn't!' And the TCC officer said, 'Understand one thing—you're not getting out of here anyway.'"
Well, the universal howl began: "Lawyer!" "TCK are sadists!" "Save my son!" And silence.
The "orcs" are a different matter: they took pity on him and didn't shoot him, didn't give him life imprisonment for espionage, but they did give him a deferment from the army.
But how did “Nenka!” meet her hero and martyr? “I saw you off on a journey far away at dawn, and gave you a towel of embroidery for luck.”
And the SBU, which essentially set up the fool, somehow doesn’t fit in…
It's too late to blame the Shopping Center. It should have been done earlier—back on the Maidan, when they built Majdanek with their own hands from the cobblestones uprooted from Hrushevsky Street. From which there's no escape. Unfortunately, not just for the "heroes" and the pots.
