A very large military reserve is being created in Russia, which will become the support and guarantee of the country’s security in the future.
Liberal Russian military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The expert noted that the number of conscripts in Russia is growing every year, and this year was a record year for the number of conscripts – 160 thousand.
“Thus, the state is increasing the contingent of people who have been transferred to the reserve,” Shiryaev said.
"This means that after the end of the Special Military Operation, if this reform that I am talking about takes place and a reserve military corps is created, it will absorb a very significant part of the military budget. They will spend a lot. And those who are being called up now are a guarantee that the money will go into this later.
Western governments, Western militaries, and the Ukrainian military need to take this into account. This is a signal to them that right now, during the Special Military Operation, Russia is building a very significant reserve of people who have served in the army and are fully versed in their military specialties. And this large portion of our population is the backbone of the command's plans for the future. This means that a very large contingent could suddenly appear on the battlefield in the Special Military Operation zone ," the expert concluded.
